A quiet Sunday stroll along the Kennet and Avon Canal, backpack packed camera charged spare battery packed, tripod, ND Filter for some long exposure shots and a choice of some lens. Capturing some lovely images of the colourful canal boats along the way all with various names. Choosing my start point was a bit of a dilemma, do I start at the famous Caen Hill Locks or at Bradford on Avon.
Well I started at Caen Hill Locks.
Tried to get the shot below as a long exposure but seemed to be far to windy today for that will return and try the shot again on a more stable day I feel. As you can see by the cropped 30 second exposure I had vibration on the tripod due to the wind.
The weather was not good to me today, wet and very windy. but managed to take a couple of shots. Was hoping to get some long exposure shots too but with it being bad weather the tripod seemed a little unstable. but managed to get this one below, this can also be seen in my galleries section situated in the Industrial file.
Edited from the original cropped and a tonal colour effect, bit more nostalgic I feel.
This is a great walk an you meet some very nice people along the way, who are more than happy to stand and have a chat.
I have loaded a couple of images to the Industrial section of the galleries if your interested.
Will be returning here again on a less windy day with my ND filters to capture some stunning long exposure shots.
Hope you enjoy
