After a hard day erecting the garden fence there is only one thing to do and that's to take the wife out to the Thai Orchid restaurant in Westbury this evening. Been here many times before and the food is just awesome. Looking forward to the starter of spring rolls or pork spare ribs hmm think I will have the pork spare ribs which have been marinated in herbs and cooked with garlic & black pepper, the meat just falls off the bone and so tender.
The wife is deciding on the steamed mussels with galangal (this is a root from the ginger family), lemon grass, lime leaf with a hint of chili and garlic to start,
for main she chose mixed seafood basil hot and spicy, stir fried king prawns, mussels, squid with onion, pepper mushroom, fine bean in fresh chili and hot basil leaves, sounds delicious.
For me think it will have to be thai beef green curry, sliced beef in green curry & coconut milk with courgette with mixed pepper, fine bean, onion and sweet basil served with a side order of boiled rice.
Exquisite although i would like mine a little bit spicier. Beverages had to be Singha and Red wine not at the same time of course :-). I can never fault the service and hospitality of this place very welcoming even when like tonight they were so busy. Also got a bit of food phone photography in as well.
