As i never bought the wife any easter eggs I took her for lunch at The Angel Inn, Upton Scudamore, near Warminster. I understand that there is new management / landlords in well at least 4 months or more. The new decor is inviting subtle muted colours of mulbery.
Although i wasn't too sure about the large screen TV on the wall.
On arrival we had a very warm welcoming and drinks in the bar before being shown to our table. Managed to get in early before the rush, lunch was lovely i had the Lamb with roast potatoes and seasonal veg very nice lamb was a little bit red for me but i enjoyed all the same very tender.
My wife had roast beef which was cooked just beautifully served with a scrumptious yorkshire pudding and seasonal veg which included cabbage an leaks in a creamy sauce, broccoli and green bean and roast potatoes, carrots and parsnip.
Puddings we had 2 scoops of ice cream, vanilla and raspberry, and vanilla cheese cake with black currant sorbet divine.
All washed down with a couple of drinks.
Reasonably priced menu and found the service good.
Compliments to the chef great food will be back soon.
Now where shall I be eating next hmm maybe another blog where ever it maybe.
