I had the privilege at the weekend of a private tour around the gardens of Crowhurst Place, with the understanding of only being allowed to photograph the gardens but not the house.
Well the gardens are spectacular, beautifully landscaped and array of bright rich colours even in mid May, I could only imagine what it would look like when all the flowers are in bloom.
Here are a few pictures taken whilst having the tour of the grounds.
The above to photos are 5 images each and stitched together creating these beautiful panoramic shot of the gardens, these would be fantastic in full bloom.
Pond Life with a rotating viewing / resting shed. Get board of one view spin it around and look at the other great idea.
The Dovecote what a lovely structure this is, apparently they have an owl in here too.
Amphitheatre in the garden what a great landscaping this is and it was / has been used as it was intended too.
The house itself is amazing jaw dropping even, Grade 1 Listed timber framed with a moat, I believe the main part of the house was constructed between 1425 to 1450, with additions an extension built on over the years. The Duchess of Marlborough commissioned the extensions, there is a full height round bay window which must be inserted to the great hall. This is truly a magnificent building and gardens, would love the opportunity to photograph this great majestic house.
You can find these images in my galleries landscape and panoramic.
